    Hi,

I'm hesitating between these two since I can get them for almost the same price and both come with an ATI Radeon 9700 64Mb graphic card (here in Switzerland), P-M 725 1.6Ghz, a 60Gb HD and 512Mb RAM.

From what I could see, the 1682WLCi has a wide screen while the 4002Lmi has the standard 15". Otherwise, the 4002Lmi has firewire while the 1682WLCi has no firewire but has 3 in 1 card reader (MS, MMC, SD). Last thing in the description is that the 4002LMi has bettery life of up to 5 hours while this is only up to 2 hours for the 1682WLCi.

    Now the questions:

    - Can you tell me what is the actual difference between the Aspire serie and the TravleMate serie?

    - Is the difference only in the battery life?

    - Which one would you get if you can have them for the same price and why?

    - Is the 15.4" of the 1682WLCi really worth when compared to the 15" of the 4002Lmi?

    Thanks

Little correction: I meant TravelMate 4002Lmi VS Aspire 1682WLCi, not the opposite [)]

If really want 15.4 inch go for 1682...There is one good reason for it . You can always buy pcmcia firwire port or get addditional 8 cell battery to give u 5 hours on 1682..

But if you go for 4002 you are struck with 15" TFT
