Hey there - am hoping someone can stop me [IMG] before I end up completely bald!

I've had my TravelMate for about 5 years with no issues of note. It had a new keyboard fitted two years ago.

Just recently, the on-screen alerts (the confirmatory announcements that show up in luminous green when adjusting the volume or press the email or www launch keys) stopped showing up. The keys still work, just no verification shows.

So I did some hunting around and found if I used Fn+F2 that the Acer Manager showed and voila - when I did that, the on-screen alerts showed up!

But when I logged on to the computer again, no alerts. This has happened twice but no longer. And now I can't seem to get the Acer Manager up no matter what. I've tried the
    Fn+F2 several times but nothing.

Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.
