Is it possible to upgrade/change CPU ?
Now CPU is Intel Celeron M520 (1M Cache, 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)
I want to replace it with better one, like T5500 (2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB)
If T5500 does not work, wich one will ? (not celeron)

Don't do it. You will not notice a difference.

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5500
(2M Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB) / # of Cores 2, # of Threads 2 /
vs
Intel® Celeron® M Processor 520

No difference?
Is it opinion or experience ? -
Any particular reason to go for T5500? It would make more sense to upgrade to sth like T7200 or T7400. These 400MHz or so and twice the cache will make a difference.

That is OK for me. But main question is - will that model of CPU work on described motherboard? T5500 is mentioned in some articles like possible substitute (but not 100%.).
Reason is TV watching and recording. Every good app doesn't work or hardly works because CPU goes 100%. Windows Media Center sometimes doesn't work at all. DScaler 4.19 works, but quality is poor. OS is Win 7 pro. TV tuner is USB 2.0 (sorry for bad english) -
These are guaranteed to work according to Acer:
Intel® Core2 Duo Mobile Processor T7300/T7500/T7700 (4 MB
L2 cache, 2/2.2/2.4 GHz, 800 MHz FSB), or T7100 (2 MB L2
cache, 1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel® Core2 Duo Mobile Processor T7200/T7400/T7600 (4 MB
L2 cache, 2/2.16/2.33 GHz, 667 MHz FSB), T5500/T5600 (2 MB
L2 cache, 1.66/1.83 GHz, 667 MHz FSB) or T5200/T5300 (2 MB
L2 cache, 1.60/1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)
Intel® Core Duo Mobile Processor T2250/T2350/T2450 (2 MB
L2 cache, 1.73/1.86/2 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)
Intel® Celeron® M processor 520/530 (1 MB L2 cache, 1.6/1.73
GHz, 533 MHz FSB)
Intel® Celeron® M processor 440 (1 MB L2 cache, 1.86 GHz, 533

Thanks for info!! I'll try one of the faster CPUs (T7200 , T7400) (depend on the price difference).
