This is driving me mad. Trying to remove the keyboard. Undone every screw I can find but no luck. Somehow you have to unclip it but cant see how its done. Anyone have any clues. The top cover of the base is complete - this doesn't have a separate hinge cover giving better access to the keyboard.

    Thanks

No - This shows a different version of the 5740 (more conventional) where the hinge cover is a separate piece of the top cover. Mine is a complete piece of plastic for the whole of the top cover on the base. As my post said the hinge cover is not a separate item which you can normally remove to gain access to the keyboard screws. Thats why its driving me mad!

    Thanks for your prompt response.

Thanks - that is the correct manual - it shows how to remove the keyboard but for some reason the prying up seems impossible to do - really worried about breaking the keys. Also the picture shows six unlock connectors but doesn't say how to. Think mine only has four. Really would like to hear from someone who has removed this type of keyboard and got any tips. - maybe I am being too careful - more brute force needed!

    Thanks again

    EDIT:
SUCCESS - the sequence in the manual doesn't work for me. What I did was first pry up the corner - quite tricky - then unlock the first connector - this enabled me to pry up the keyboard further to do the next connector and so on. Mine only had four of these connectors. When they were all released the keyboard needed to be slightly bowed in the middle which released it from the sides - and voilà - it came out. Appreciate all the help - hope this is useful for others.

    Thanks
