Hello all,
Have been reading here for a while now and are back in the market for a new laptop. I have narrowed it down to the TravelMate 8100 series, but I am a little confused about the two available models.
Could someone point out all the differences between them? I know for sure that the 8103 got only a 1.87GHz P-M VS the 2.0GHz from the 8104 and there is only 512MB installed VS 1GB. What does not make sense though is the fact that online you can get the 8103 for about 1700USD and the 8104 is about 2150+USD. How can the processor and the memory justify a almost 500USD difference?
Also, I have seen some pictures of the 8104 and it looks like there is a security card slot similar to what would be used on a satellite system. Can someone comment if it works and how it is used?
I got a T43p company laptop with the fingerprint reader and it is so awesome to log into WinXP using that feature, thus I was wondering if the card reader had a similar function where it allows to log you into Windows?
Sorry for so many questions..
Thanks again

The big difference is the video card, that's where a good portion of that extra cost is coming from.

Brian,
I don't quiet get your comment. You are saying that the 8103 has a different video card than the 8104?
Could you please clarify?
