Well exactly one year and 10 months ago i purchased myself a splendid TravelMate 8204WLMI packed with some of the best technology available at the time for a pricetag of CAD $2400. I was pleased, i played CS:S at high settings and loved life.
8 months ago the Web-cam seized its existance. 3 months ago the hard drive died. 2 months ago the DVD-ROM gave out. A week later a little chipset on the motherboard (responsible for fan control) died killing the power supply and parts of the motherboard rendering the computer useless.
This all happened to the top-of-the-line laptop that Acer offers after just over a year and a half of calm, safe desktop use. Interesting build quality Acer...
I am never purchasing anything from them again. Having little desire to fix something thats not even worth that money anymore i went on and purchased a G1S-B2 from Asus.
