    Hello,

I have had an Acer Travelmate 2400 for a while now but recently formatted the disk and installed Win XP Pro.

Now I cannot get any sound to play.

When I got to Sounds and Audio in Control Panel everything is greyed out and it says 'No Audio Device'.

Anyone know how I can fix it?

    Thanks!

    Is an audio driver installed?
Acer support site lists two possibilities- either Realtek or Connexant for you notebook (check both starting from the latter)
If it turns out to be Realtek you can update to the most recent version available on Relatek website.

    Thanks for the reply.

I ran the setup.exe in the Connexant zip and it ran through the setup ok but nothing happened after that. Sound still not available.

    Will try the next one.
