I have just installed a new hard drive and XP Pro in my Travelmate 4600.
    I now have three problems.
    1) I cannot identify hardware in this machine, ie, Lan, Touchpad, WLan, etc to enable selection of correct drivers.
    2) Drivers I have downloaded from Acer, such as Lan, have no setup files.
    3) What are the correct procedures for:-
    a) Selection of correct drivers.
    b) Installion of Drivers in the absence of Setup files.

As I have never encountered Drivers with no setup files before, I would appreciate any help that is on offer.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
You should again check Acer support website since they now have a hardware detection tool.
Not needed. Simply unzip and point Windows device manager's "install drivers" thingy to that location.
The standard procedure is using the .inf files in the driver package ;)
