    Hi,

I have a Travelmate 4730 laptop from my company. As I wanted to remove the user password, I went to BIOS setup to enter the old password and hit enter when it asked for the new password as well as an enter at the confirmation. When the laptop rebooted it would not take the old or new password. My IT dept does not want to provide the administrator password for me to install Acer e power management.

Is there any backdoor password to try?

    Thanks,

    Maxiblur
