    Hi first post here

Anyhoo, I updated the BIOS from ACERS own website and got the latest version and in the middle of isntallation everything froze up, I had to remove all power supplys, but now when I try to boot up absolutely nothing happens, I have been fumbling around with Crisis Disk by Pheonix but Im not to sure what to do even after reading a shed load on the WIMBIOS site, so could anyone help, also would removing the CMOS battery help? and if so where could I get a service manual.

Thanks ever so much for any help :)

Bad BIOS flash is normally fatal on a lappy. No sockets for the chip.

And, who told you to mess with the BIOS anyway?

    Oh boy. SOSA.

BIOS flash is normally a last resort. And most times does very little to sort the original problem properly anyway.....

I flashed the BIOS because Acer reccomended it to me because of some errors I was getting, and via the wimbios forums I thought someone here may have some more suggestions like, would removing the cmos battery have any effect?

    Cheers :)
