I'm trying to record some thru the line in jack on my ACER 5610Z. No audio is being recorded. It's only recording audio from the built in microphone. When I plugged the audio chord into the microphone jack, audio does get recorded. I've heard though that that audio is being recorded in mono from a mike jack.

Are there any known problems with the line in jack on ACER computers? Are there any solutions? My next step is to call customer service. No answers were found when I googled the problem. Thanks in advance for any help.
