    Hey guys and gals!

I've been having som trouble with my laptop failing and shutting down. It shows a blue screen with white writing which I am unable to read as it is displayed for maybe one second before the computer shuts down. There is no warning before this happens, and there is no special thing i do before to provoce this.

Recently it's been shutting down, and become ready to start up right away. But previously the laptop startet beeping until I removed AC/batt. and plugged them back in. Then it was good to go again.

Seems very odd. I hope someone here might have experienced this or somehow know the solution.

    Thanks in advance!

Yup! Something like that.. I'm not sure which file exactly, as the BSOD is only there for a second or so I can't really have a good look at it. However, I gather this might be related to recently installed soft-/hardware, but as I mentioned this problem occurs whenever it sees fit. It's very peculiar.

I've tried some Linux distros, but I can't seem to get comfortable with them, so I switch back to XP. The BSOD may appear soon after reinstallation, without any odd SW/HW. No BSOD in Linux, so if anything it suggests SW

    Thanks so far!
