The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Trying to disabe 5920G Vista start-up pop-ups..

    Those darn pop-ups in the task bar are driving me crazy during start up... Is there a way i can turn those pop-up messages off? Same for the Norton trial, it keeps asking me to run live updates at every start-up.. Clicking off the four or so items at every start up is starting to wear on me.

    Remove all acer boltware and Norton ****....I also remove everything(inc Empower technology after i create my recover DVD) .I only left Acer arcade :D

    or

    press Winkey+R ... type msconfig & press enter > go to startup tab on system configuration select what you don't want to run on startup ;)
