    Hi there,
I have Turion64 X2 1.6 dual core in my Aspire 5112 WLMi and I plan to upgrade RAM,I have only 512mb.
I read in Notebook dummy article topic that if you have this CPU only Crucial
memory will work OK with it.

It's hard to get Crucial memory here where I live and if you get it it is very expensive so my question is has anybody here succeeded to upgrade RAM with some other manufacturer than Crucial and has Turion64 X2 CPU of course??
    Thanks...

You don't NEED to have crucial memory...any brand will work if it's the correct spec.

I use Corsair Value Select ddr667 on my 5102 and it works beautifully. Got it from newegg.com, but I don't know where you live so I can't say that this place will ship to u.

But like I said before, any brand of memory will work.

I would not buy that memory... I did... and I got blue screens of death and lock ups... its pc2-5300 and the stats on the labtop says pc2-4300 @ 266 mhz for the stock 512k that came with the labtop. It absolutely sucks... I posted a thread today asking for help on this matter as well..with full specs from CPU-Z proggie html dump.

that memory worked terribly on my 5102 ( the only sentence you need to read from this paragraph.

It is strongly recommended with dual-cores to get identical sticks of whatever brand you go with. Get the right bus-speed, obviously, and the brand should not matter so much.
