check your power settings Start>Control Panel>Display>Screensaver>power options
From there check your system standby timing, hibernate timings and what happens when you close the lid of your laptop.
By clicking the Hibernation tab you can disable from there unless you have 3rd party software that controls all of these settings - you can remove that software from Start>control panel>add/remove programs

The system is set to go Standby after an our, hibernate after two and when I close the lid also to go to Stanby.
I control these settings through Empowering-ePower,I find this very utillity very usefull and don't want to remove it.
Hope I will fix this soon...thanks
