    does anyone know how i can install the internal tv tuner into the 6930...i have the spot where the whole can be popped out does anyone know hot to install it? like how much do i have to take apart or the part number for the US version of the tuner..

    Thanks in advance ..i've already did a bunch of upgrades thanks to this site!

    I've never gone about installing the TV tuner, nor would I know how to (I use a USB tuner myself).

    ok no prob ... i was just curious since i was doing all these upgrades ..i'd figure i'd try and fill every part it could come with ....i love how the acer is pretty much fully upgradable!

    Not pretty much, it is fully upgradeable :D You can't see that in most of the budget brands. To be honest, you can't see it in most of the brands at all.

    On topic, I can give you a guide, but it's for 5920G (because I'm planing to put a TV tuner in there too) and it's in Italian (Google translate does pretty good job though). If you search for a proper TV tuner, check eBay for "A312 tuner", it's both digital and analogue tuner, but it's US only :) I'm looking for a hybrid one, but it's gone from a long time, its model was A306, but I can't find it anymore.

    yeah if you could ...i'm game to try to installing one ...i bring it to work with me alot to mess around with (play dead space) and to be able to watch tv in HD would be awesome ..esp for a laptop i only paid $599 for.

    looks like the same parts but of course the 5920 kinda looks different then the 6930 inside ...thanks for the guide ..i think in a month or so i'm just gonna bite the bullet and just buy the kit and spend a weekend experimenting :)
