    Two more questions, Aspire 1681

    [1] The DVD+/-RW drive appears to be modular, but I can't find away to remove it. I am thinking that Acer just uses the same casing for a model with a modular drive, and my 1681 does not have modular capabilities... Does the 1681 have a modular drive?

    [2] I put my notebook on sleep, and it automatically comes off sleep when I open the lid. This is not a huge deal, but I would rater it stayed on sleep. Is there some way of changing this? Is it part of Service Pack 2?

    yes it possible to remove but you have to undo other screws, to get a clear idea i will send you the service manual with full details
