I wanted to buy an Acer extended warranty, so reviewed their website for the terms and conditions and noticed in the UK you can buy them within 360 days of purchase of the laptop (or 90 days for accidental damage warranties).

So I looked around and found a cheap Warranty pack from Dabs.com. The product code for the pack matched that on other sites that described it as having the 360 day condition.

However on receiving the pack it says inside that it must be registered within 30 days of purchase, and also that it's a 3 year 'carry in' warranty! All the packs that Acer advertise are 'collect & return'.

It's definitely a genuine Acer warranty pack, but not one they advertise.

I don't know what to do now as I bought the laptop about 9 months ago, so the 30 days has long expired.

I've tried contacting Acer but they never got back to me.

    :(
