    USB External Hard Drive Problem

    My Comstar 250GB external drive suddenly stopped working. I went to devce manager and it says "The Device Cannot Start (Code 10)". I tried uninstalling and re-installing it but it still shows the same problem. What can I do?

    first i'd try it on a different PC...

    but you seem to be having some USB problems
    is this the same machine that wouldn't work with the USB keyboard?

    Have a look at this
    Also try using a different USB cable....!!
    When my USB Y-Cable went bad, it used to show a similar error, that the device drivers are not installed..!!

    I have exactly the same problem with my 2.5 enclosure. If I move the cable almost instantly get this error.
