Seems like you're missing some drivers. Look here for acer drivers. Perhaps try the "Card Reader Driver".

The flash bios means that it will flash your bios which essentially means that it will update your bios. Here is an informative article explaining the how/what/why of flashing your bios.

Flashing your bios may help, but I'm not sure. Perhaps somebody with an acer can help with that question.

    Good idea.

I would install them and see if the webcam works. If not, then go to the website of whoever makes the webcam, find the support page and download/install the drivers from there.

I've Uninstalled the drivers and tried to reinstall them, but it didnt work, and ive already went to the webcams producer website, support section and downloaded the driver but it didnt work. I wanted to download chip set driver but wasnt able to find one for my acer.

I have the same issue on an acer 5100. I believe it is not software related.

Are the USB slots connected directly in the motherboard?
I remember back in 98 I had a motherboard lose all functions of its USB connections. I never figured out how to fix it and just ended up buying a USB pci card.

I have a thread with similar issues that might be USB related. I turned of power management on the USB and it seems to help.

Here is the link, post 13 has info on how to change the settings.

Something sure is fishy regarding the 5050 and USB.
