    Uk acer aspie 5051 spec.

    I have recently bought an acer aspire 5051 awxmi in the uk, it was bought mail order and shipped from the manufacturer in shanghai according to all the post marks..

    I am so far happy with the machine and find its very good value for money.

    One bonus is the spec states it has an amd turion 64 mk 36 (2000 mhz) cpu and even the sticker on the laptop states it too but i have recieved mine with a mk 38 cpu (@ 2233 mhz), i assume there was a shortage of the mk 36 cpu on the production line.

    This model in the uk is not availiable with the mk38 cpu from any retaliler and i also have the crystalbrite screen which was not advertised..

    All in all its a nice looking good performing budget laptop ( once i had reinstalled vista without the acer crap - no drivers required just connect to lan and windows updates drivers for everything ,wifi, audio, vga and even the modem)
