    Hi guys,

Just been trying to burn recovery dvd's with erecovery. It says it requires 2 dvd's. The first one burnt fine but when it asked for the 2nd blank dvd and I put the 2nd dvd in it just ejected the disc and once again asked me to put in a blank dvd. I tried different blank dvds but it just wouldn't accept them. Any idea what the problem might be?

From reading a few threads it seems quite a few people have issues with various acer recovery protocols e.g. alt + F10 at boot

I would like to bump this thread up as I am currently facing the same problem,
the error kept insisting that I should "use the same type of disk to burn"

i used the NTI recovery DVD maker and the disc's both worked fine. one dvd is the OS and the other is the Apps dvd.both work.
NTI came already loaded on my aspire and the erecovery just gave me trouble.refusing to burn DVD's

    hoggie -
I want to make sure I understand what you're saying.
You wanted to make recovery DVD's.
You bypassed the Acer "Recovery" utility.
Went straight to the included NTI burn program, found a "data recovery" section of some kind, and successfully burned a copy or an image or whatever it's called of your HDD from NTI?

If so, that's a neat trick to know!

will find the where i got the instructions and post them here.i also use the nti backup software and find that easy to use aswell.
all i can remember was it had something to do with the D2D partion and making an image which is bootable. :)
