Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these, and if they work fairly well with Acer laptops? Of course on the package they say "works with most laptops! IBM, Dell, Sony!" but they don't mention Acer, so I'd just like to be sure.

Also, the super duper external batteries look real nice too....

oh well, from the looks of their compatibility chart online, either the juice isn't compatible with the TM 290 series, or they haven't updated their database in a while heh

Update, the Juice isn't compatible with Acer Travelmate 290 series out of the box. You'd need to order Tip number 14 from igo's site for 9.99, which is on back order at the present moment.

My question for anyone that uses a TM290, have you ever gotten a universal notebook recharger and was it combatible w/ your TravelMate right out of the box?

    thanks

    Javyn

PS. Not to mention, the igo Juice has a 70w output, somone told me that's not enough for this particular notebook, i'd need 100w. So now I'm all confused heh.

They also make the Ice 90, which should take care of you.

sigh, yes but the ice, and the juice, and all the rest of them need tip 14 for travelmate notebooks, not exactly compatibility out of the box. now that im looking at the spec sheet, the ice 90 isn't combatible with acer at all. bah. i'll just order another ac charger from acer themselves i guess.
