I think the TimelineX has come to the end of its line and the Timeline Ultra is its replacement. As I thought, there is no longer a 13" Timeline, ceeding that market to the S3/S5 ultrabook. Acer has promised to streamline its model lines. It looks like it has.
Glad to see an Intel powered 11.6" notebook. http://liliputing.com/2012/03/acer-aspire-one-v5-11-6-inch-notebook-coming-soon.html Hopefully it will use a ULV processor that has HD 4000 graphics instead of HD 2500 graphics. Finally, a successor to the 1830T. It also looks like Acer will be repeating its Olympic Editions this year for the London games. Should be some decent special models. http://liliputing.com/2012/03/acer-tablets-get-olympic-fever-branding.html Only Tablets out so far.
Good news about the GT 640M in the Timeline Ultra, its likely a Kepler Core. http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=6408 ULV CPU and Kepler GPU may mean no heat/throttling issues. -
The V3/M3 seem like spiritual successors to the Timeline X units. Color me intrigued.
I'm also starting to notice that the phrase "ultrabook" is being thrown around a bit excessively. I read a press release elsewhere calling these laptops ultrabooks, but the one with an optical drive is thicker than the 21mm requirement. I don't care either way, but it points to the marketing storm that's going to come with everything being called "ultra".

I wonder if the M3 will have a PGA socket that would allow an upgrade of the CPU to a full powered IB I5?
