    hello,

thanks for answer, but in your signature is not described as to upgrade my laptop to Pentium M (Sockel479) but in this thread is described to upgrade to core duo (Socket M).

Can you help me with my problem

I am sorry my friend , but your way of writing does not make sense to me .

I have upgrade my own system , by exchanging the old Celeron , with a Pentium , most of all, for the power saving options of the Pentium family.

I moved a step forward to the pinmode option, and got some extra cycles from that.

I wish you success with your laptop.

Sorry to jump into this thread, but I have an Aspire 3610. I want to ditch the Celeron.. Having seen the Youtube vids and your posts on here, can I fit a 533FSB Pentium M in the board (it's the 910 chipset)?

Don't really want to go the pin mod route as I'm always a little unconvinced about strands of wire wedged into things

There are two revision of boards and as 2410 (2414) and as 3610.

The latest has the 915, and this has success with the pinmode and the 533FSB Pentium M .

The Bios even at the 915 based boards forces the clock to 400 Mhz , no matter the CPU type .

The pinmode forces the motherboard, to operate at 533.

If the pinmode is out of the question, then the 533 CPU is out too.

Mine's an early one I think (going by the manufacture date and motherboard code), but either way I'd have to pin mod to get 533fsb, either as an overclock or just by dropping a 533 CPU in? Hmm, in that case I'll keep looking for a 400FSB CPU to fit then, thanks for the info :)

    Hello,

My laptop is built in 2003. I just installed the CPU. The CPU has FSB 533.
The bios recognizes correctly. Windows, too.
