Hi, I have read some of the posts here. And I really interested on upgrading my notebook CPU. I using acer 4315 atm and I not really sure what is the maximum CPU I can upgrade. I need some advise here on which model to buy. My budget is below 1k RM.

Usually would a computer shop sell mobile processor or just online? If anyone here living in Kuching, Malaysia and want to sell yours. Please kindly let me know what is your price and model. I willing to buy the 2nd hand one as well. Thanks. ;)

in theory,,, you can use any SOCKET P mobile CPU (that is of standard voltage, not LV or ULV models),,,

i have never seen mobile CPUs forsale in small computer shops,,,, an online retailer or EBAY will be your best bet

check that link for my experiences with SOCKET P CPU upgrades.... a lot of good info if you read it

Well, I have asked the computer shop seller, and they told me I will have to wait at least a week or more for the processor to arrive (T7300). And the cost is around 300+. I also have visited ebay, lowyat.net and lelong.com.my which is quite famous and well known online shop in my country. But i couldnt really find the any. And there is one from amazon.com, but the problem they could not deliver it to my house. :(

Any suggestion for me to visit a online web site.?

Ok, I just made my decision on buying a T7700 processor. My question is that, can my laptop support it? Or do I need to use lower speed processor? Like T7200 or T5 series CPU. I saw some of them T7 series CPU are difference socket than socket P. Can I use them too?

About the payment, if you have a credit card, do you actually waiting for the bank to confirm your account (which it gonna takes 2 - 3 days to proceed) after you have confirm everything for the payment?

1 hour ago, Paypal asked me to wait at least 2 or 3 days for the credit card statement to arrive before i can actually start paying. But its that normal for you guys? :(

paypal confirms my NEW CC's when i add them... they do it online and instantly... however if this is your first time setting up the account it may be normal.. i can't recall... i set mine up back in 1998... and it may be a precaution against CC fraud they have implemented in your country??
    email them and ask...

as for the T7700 you should be safe,, but we have yet to see it upgraded in your model yet... but the 5315 (same chipset) supports the T7700 in BIOS and i know the i965 supports all the current socket Ps
