    Hello. I have an Aspire 5742-7120 which currently only sees wireless at the 2.4 GHz range and I'd like to swap the card out to another which will see my 5GHz connection. I am having trouble locating one for this model, all I am see is replacement 2.4 GHz models.

    Is there one and if so, can you recommend one, site, model number, etc?

    Intel 6200 will do fine. It's relatively cheap, good and easy t get. Just don't buy one that's advertised to be for Lenovo laptops.
