I've seen another thread on someone asking about upgrading a gpu, I'm not too worried about that.

I'm wondering if I can take the 1.66 and updgrade it to a 2.13 or 2.0 ghz core duo?

Anyone done this or have an idea if it can be done? Other than that, It's a 5672 or an Asus S96J. I think the 5672 could be a potentially better choice if it's upgradeable.

    Thanks ahead of time!

I don't see why it couldn't handle a higher clock speed. Plus, it should be able to take the initial versions of the Core 2 Duo.

yes it can, another guy on a diff. fourm replaced his t2300 with a t2500 on the 5672 and he had pics to prove it. He also just replaced the t2500 with a new core 2 duo chip.

    Thanks Calcutron,

I'm not really interested in Merom, though it's cool that it does it. Probably just stick in a 2.0ghz Yonah chip, and be good with that.
