Hi,
I've a Acer Aspire 7110 notebook with a Celeron M 420 @ 1.6 GHz.
CPU-Z tells me:
Intel Celeron M 240 @ 1596.1 MHz, Yonah, Socket 479 mPGA, Family 6, Model E, Steping 8, Ext. Family 6, Ext. Model E, Revision C0
In the system device manager I found a hidden processor driver "Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2400 @1.83 GHz" so I think about an upgrade.![]()
Does anyone have experience in doing this?![]()
THX

Try cpuz for a more accurate reading of your processors.
But in anyway, yes you can upgrade to either a yonah dual core or a merom dual core. They just have to be socket M and you have to make sure that you install the latest BIOS for your machine. -

I have an Asus A6rp. Here are the specifications.
Intel Celeron M 440 1.86Ghz 533FSB
ATI Radeon Express 200m Chipset
2 gig of ram
80 gb of HD
ATI Radeon Express 200m Video 256MB.
I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the processor to a core duo or core 2 duo. Any adivice is appreciated.
