    Upgrading Acer 8930g GPU HELP!

    Hi im getting given a barely used acer 8930g replacing the cpu with an x9100


    i want to put in the quadro fx 3700m

    but i noticed it is bigger than stock cards in height (the ones sold on ebay)

    is this the correct 3700m mxm card or is there another but small form factor

    Also i heard it needs the heatsink modified if its the 9600m im upgrading. how so?
    Also if not what model is the heatsink i have to replace it with?

    I assumeFX3700M won't work, a I've tried 8800M GTS - no way - so this laptop's best bet is 3850\4850 MXMII version, since MXM III cards like 9800M has different type of connector.
    As for the heatsink there are also two types for this laptops - standard MXM II (9600M) and the bigger one - for 9700M \ 4850 mobility like cards.
