    Hi all,

I am curious if it is possible to put the 4850M Mxm-II board into
    Acer Aspire 5920 notebook? :)

If there will be Mxm-II boards?
But from what i saw and read there will be one.

    Best regards,
    PleXuS

If there is one, you can pray that Acer adds support for it in the form of a BIOS update. :)

It would also depend on what 5920 you have, some have dedicated graphics and some have integrated like mine with the intel x3100.

It also depends on whether the MXM form factor changes by then - the new system uses two sizes instead of the five currently being used.

No way. The thing would overheat like crazy IF you evenmanage to get it to work.

How so? Most MXM-II boards are designed to stay within a certain thermal envelope so they could be used in similar notebook designs without heavy modifications to the cooling system.

Besides, the Radeon HD 4850 is more than likely going to be an MXM-III card if anything.
