    Hello all,

    I have a Travelmate 8210 with a 160GB SATA drive. I'm looking to upgrade to either 320GB or 500GB.

I just have one question regarding this upgrade. My computer has that DASP anti-shock technology. Do I need any special drive or driver for this to work with a new drive? Or is it just "out with the old, in with the new?" Thanks!

I'm just giving this a small bump because I changed the title to include more general answers...

DASP is Acer code for "shock-absorbing rubber bumper."
Go ahead with any SATA hard drive you want.
"GraviSense" is the software that uses a hardware accelerometer that senses Gs. If you didn't have it to begin with, don't worry about it.
