Hey all! I was wondering if any owners of this laptop have upgraded it? I have already replaced the 2x 256 ram with 2x 512mb Kingston ram and honestly can't really see much differance. Is my slow stock HDD the reason?

I am now thinking of upgrading my HDD to a 16mb cache toshiba HDD from newegg and was wondering how much performance (games and general) gain I can expect?

Thanks guys! Don't know about you guys, but I love my Acer!

I used HD tune and it said my buffer is 1.7mb, that's my cache right? How much would going from 1.7mb to 16mb of cache improve my performance?

What would improve it more, going to the 5400rpm 16mb cache, or goto a 7200 8mb cache?

    Thanks guys!
