At first sorry for my bad english. I read in Part I in post 7 that niffcreature said that a cpu upgrade to p9600 is a good solution. But can someone explain why P9700 does not work?
In my NB runs a T9550 with 35W. I had some heating problems with it and I surched for a solution. My question is why fit the p9600 and what about p9700?

Who told you that P9700 will not work on 8935G? Processors with P letter have less thermal dissipation - your laptop will be less heated. And don`t forget, that the main thing on achiving less temperatures - thermal interface and the method, which you are using, when you spred the thermal interface on the CPU. There is a lot information in our 5739G thread about it. You can search for it there.

With my rig I`ve managed to achive very good and stable temperatures even under 100% CPU stress test combined with Furmark GPU stress test. That`s the matter of thermal interface and a method as I said above. ;)

    Hi,
I have my 8935g since beginning 2010. The model number is 8935g-664G50Mn 2009/08/29. Just recently started upgrading.
Got 8 gigs of ram, replaced tge gpu with ati 6770m. That went smooth.
Then I decided to replace my Intel T6600 with something more powerfull. Without reading much I ordered the T9900, that was confirmed in some threads to fit and work. The fan is working, but nothing else. Had to go back to the old t6600.
Is my version of motherboard older than others? is it due to this higher bus speed of 1066 MHz compared to 800 for t6600? What do you think? I am not quite familiar with the tech stuff, so maybe I got a wrong version of the cpu. Is there more then one type of mobile T9900, more socket types or something?

I got the cpu checked and got confirmed to work on a dell Precision M4400, didn't see it myself though.
    Thanks and regards

    Solved! :D
I installed a modded Bios v.3212 and got the T9900 running. I just changed one option in the settings: Main/Workaround Control Sub-Menu->MCH Control Sub-Menu->Option For System Memory Frequency: ENABLED (=System Memory Frequency Setting as 667MHZ)

It seems I have full range of the CPU frequencies available, starting from x3.0 =797,99MHz to x12 =3195,82MHz. Bus Speed: 266,32 MHz, Rated FSB: 1065,13MHz -data from CPU-Z

Glad you solve it, flashing BIOS is a little bit risky. I was like hmm... why the T9900 dosen't work on your 8935, when i was able to upgrade to P9700 on my old Acer 6930G.

    Cheers

    @yamaha24:

Yes, i got one recently, but i didn't manage to run it unfortunately =( I've also tried sukbor's method on setting the "Main/Workaround Control Sub-Menu->MCH Control Sub-Menu->Option For System Memory Frequency: ENABLED (=System Memory Frequency Setting as 667MHZ)" but still no luck =(

    P.S. motherboard MBPDB06001
P.P.S. i've oredered T9900 as well, we'll see if it runs or not in a month =)

Ok, wanted to drop by and say, that T9900 installed and booted no problem (motherboard MBPDB06001). FSB shows 1066, so i didn't have to do a 667Mhz FSB workaround. Europa Universalis IV runs way faster! Didin't spent a lot of time in it to see the temps though.

Other than that - before the installment of this proc, my laptop started to heat in games, so while upgrading i've replaced the thermal paste and drilled holes under the fan, something like in video below. 52*C in windows/google chrome (60*ะก with throttlestop), fan works quite.
