I have an Acer Aspire 5920G with Vista premium 32bit and was wanting to upgrade to Windows 7 (through MSDNAA) but wasn't too sure about it. I take it I can still download all the Acer eNet management etc software as well as everything else that came with my laptop to use in W7?

Has anyone else successfully upgraded their PC and got everything to work?

    I have AS6920G with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit RTM.
Vista Driver/Software will work on Windows 7. You can download them from Acer website.
Mostly all Acer software are useless to be installed.
They are wasting Hardisk space, processor speed and RAM.
All Empowering stuffs are not needed, so, don't install them. As well as the other Acer-related software such as Vista Grid. My laptop runs faster without those Acer crapware. I have better gaming performance too.
Just take care of the Driver. For example: Graphic Card Driver, Card-Reader Driver, Webcam Driver, Realtek and so on.
The only Acer Software I used was Arcade Deluxe.
The only Acer Driver I used Launch Manager, Card Reader and Webcam Driver, CIR.
After that, I find the other Driver(not from Acer website) on the Internet.
Acer did provides the all vital Drivers in the website. But, some of them are old or didn't update.
Graphic Card Driver - Downloaded from Microsoft/Nvidia
Realtek Driver(Sound Card) - Downloaded from Realtek itself
Intel Chipset - Downloaded from Intel Windows 7 Supported

Could you please tell me that you have same issue or not?

Maybe you need to remove the old driver before installing the new 1?
I think it might be crash or something happen to your machine. That's why the HDMI didn't work after installing the new Realtek driver.
Try uninstall Realtek, then restart to safe mode, run CCleaner and Driver Sweeper in safe mode.
Restart to normal mode. Install new Realtek Driver.

    I'm running Win7 32bit.

No problems, whatsoever, however, i don't use the crappy software from Acer anyway.... But they do work with Win7.

Upgrade! Windows 7 is the nuts!
