I am having charging issues with my Aspire 5050. It will only charge sometimes and I have to rig it into certain positions to get it to work. I read on another forum that a docking station or a port replicator could be used to circumvent the issues im having with my laptop charging. Its not the adapter as it works just fine with other laptops. Will I be able to charge the laptop via the docking station/port replicator instead of through the normal power input connector? If so, does anyone know of a cheap one that is compatible with Vista and works with the aspire 5050 (I believe it has to be connected via USB because there doesnt seem to be a jack for a replicator). Thanks in advance!
