Hi, I'm new here and I joined because I'd like some advice from some professionals before I make a purchase.

Someone recently offered to sell me a used Acer C300 Tablet PC for pretty cheap.

It had one gig of ram and 80GB of space.

Now I've heard of many complaints about the Acer concerning hot batteries and wear and tear so I'm a little unsure on what to do.

Considering They want to sell it for about 200-250$ Canadian, it doesn't seem like much even if it gets a little hot and worn out looking.

May I ask if you think it is worth it? It seems like it is to me for the price but I know very little about the subject.

I already own a Dell Latitude D510 that is broken and will cost me 150-200$ to repair. Would it be more worth it to put that money towards the Acer or the Dell with Half the ram?

I really appreciate any help you could offer!
    Thanks in advance!

I hat to double post but some help would really be appreciated. I just got a phone call and it seems I'm not the only one who may buy it. The person who's selling it to me owes me a favor so he's going to wait some more time for my answer but he said he's beginning to get other offers for the Acer.

Maybe he's just playing with me to get me to buy it now, I don't know but the sooner I get some advice the sooner I can make my decision.

    (sorry if I'm being pushy)
