    This is my first laptop. I always thought the cheap (sub $1,000.00) laptops were for word processing and causual web browsing only. With this $699.99 (at Staples last weekend) I just played Quake 3 with excellent FPS and really good graphics. The only thing I did was change the bios setting to 128 mb vs. 64 mb for the video and got rid of the crap running in the background. Even though Q3 is not considered a graphics intensive game by todays standards it was a blast to play again! I ordered 1 gig of memory from Newegg tonight (this one came with 512) will see if it even impresses me even more. I've always had a serious desktop with the latest video card and such so looking for games that were playable was easy. What other games with the graphics similar to Q3 would also play as well? This isnt my gaming pc just looking to have a little fun on the road.
