As you know the default OS of Acer 1410 is Windows XP, and the battery life is about 6 hours; if I install Windows Vista or Windows 7, how much it will affect my battery life?

I have both Win XP and Win 7 installed on 1410 su2300. I have observed 1/2 to 1 more hour on Win 7 than on XP.

You mean that Win saves more battery energy ? Vista and 7 are in favor of a better battery life ?!?!?!?

The default OS on 1410 is Win7 on newer models and Vista on older models. XP is no official OS for 1410. I suppose that the better battery life is caused by better drivers and better power management of the OS itself.
