Has anybody been able to get their 5102 cam to work with Vista?

I tried the Driver that Vista gets on Updates & I tried the driver from Acer's Website. Trying to use the cam always freezes up whatever program that tries to use it

Any other drivers that might work?

haven't found any good drivers. however, i hope a fix comes out soon, or else one of the most enticing features of the 5102 just got lost.

My bisoncam webcam built into my MSI GX700 notebook does not work at all.

The small icons on the bottom right of the notebook, think they are called message icons, shows a camera with a cross through it.

I am running Vista Premium home edition.
Holding the mouse over the camera displays the name:BsMnt.

    can anybody help ?

    Hey-
Does anyone still run this machine with XP? I got mine pre-loaded with Vista, and after poor performance problems upgraded back to XP. Everything is so much faster, but there is no software interface for using the webcam now, just default Microsoft LiveCam and USB Video Device (for video and pix respectively).

Did "Acer OrbiCam" on XP work? Could settings (video/pic output size, light sensitivity, etc) be adjusted from it? I'd appreciate any input.

my aspire had loads of trouble with the orbicam using bisonbar software.
all i did was stop it from starting at start-up in msconfig as i was getting a conflict error message saying the cam was being used by another application.
all i did was stop it from running at start-up and it was fixed.
