I filled in all the upgrade information and got an email

"Thank you for submitting your order to upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit CD/DVD. Please send in the original or a certified copy of your proof of purchase (Receipt, Invoice etc.) and redemption form to our service center in your region:"

When i was filling in the form i ticked the No box to having a redemption form. Should i of got this when i brought my laptop(after xmas) or will i be sent one?

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I spoke to the upgrade centre, all they need for the Acer upgrades is proof of purchase, and the order confirmation number that will have been on the email you refer to below.

I emailed the upgrade centre with my order confirmation number, and a scan of my receipt, and they seem to be happy with that.

I'll let you know if it worked when I recieve my copy of Vista!

As far as I'm aware, acer won't provide a redemption form as it appears it isn't needed - this is possibly because all their laptops come with the COA attached, and they may have pre-registered them with microsoft? just my thought.

When you apply for the Home Premium is it the full version meaning you can do a clean install of it without needing to have MCE installed first?

I think it cost about £14 for the P&P.
I think it might be the full version, I'll let you know when it arrives.

    My question to them was:

    Hi,
There was no redemption form with the laptop - only a leaflet with instructions to get to the moduslink upgrade site.

What shall I send? I only have my invoice and the email below with the order number (######).

    Regards

    And their answer:

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting the Upgrade Redemption Support Centre.

Please send the proof of purchase of your computer together with your order number confirmation. You can do it by e-mail, fax or if you prefer post mail you can send a copy.

    Kind Regards,
    The Upgrade Redemption Support Centre.

What's the site that I go to, to get the upgrade? So all I need is the Receipt? Also I understand I have to pay for shipping, how does that work do I pay on their site? Or do I mail them a cheque?

I went to the site to fill it out, then this error window poped up at the page where you enter your mailing address. I hit next then the window pop ups doesn't have anything on it bit ! and that's it. Is there another site I can get Vista from or over the phone?
