Did you read it, or did you actually test it out?
The Realtek drivers provided by Acer should be compatible across all four platforms (XP & Vista, 32- and 64-bit and enable the Tuba booster.

In any case, welcome to the forums, Stefanosstef!

The DVDs made by eRecovery are certainly bootable.
First I heard about the Realtek drivers not enabling the Tuba - then again, I'm not running WinXP.

And trust me, you're not spamming - you're doing due diligence and making sure that you've got everything working right.

    Hello again TehSuigi!
Recently I did that downgrade to XP x64.I installed the Realtek driver from Acer but Tuba doesn't work and it's a shame because 5.1 surround is one of the reasons I chose 6920...What should I do?

So you've got your proof that the Tuba doesn't work?
I would contact Acer Support directly and let them know.

Again, keep in mind that Acer might not provide XP support for their newest models. Worst comes to worst, move to Vista 64-bit or heck, the Windows 7 Beta!

I have been searching a solution for very long time and I concluded that Tuba won't work on XP.Vista is the worst OS ever so I am waiting for a stable version of Windows 7 and the new drivers.

    Thanks anyway!

Windows 7 public beta is out, very stable indeed, have a look at the Windows 7 section of the forum.

Hi, unfortunantly there are now many who agree that Vista is NOT the worst ever OS ever produced and anybody who seriously thinks so posesses little knowledge of operating systems. Can it be worse than DOS, Win95/98 and SE, no, how about Millenium then, definantly not. How about windows 2000, not really a good comparison is it.

XP,hmmm, well XP has now had numerous updates and is now on service pack 3, if it wasn't better then it was upon release then MS would have doing something very badly. However I remember we were all told, by so called 'experts', not to touch XP, it was insecure, compared to win2k, it had very poor driver support and was hardware and resource hungry, oops now where have I heard that before ;)

However, Vista, now nearly up to SP2, is generally accepted to be as compatible, stable and just about as quick, bearing in mind it is running much more graphical features than XP, and has more security running in the background.
Now we have Windows 7, according to the media, our saviour, LOL, we shall see....
    Chris

Hello!Yesterday i found THE way to enable tuba bass on 6920g after almost a year without it.It was posted recently on komku's forum....so all you have to do is remove your sound drivers and download sound drivers for 6530 (for xp obviously).Install them, restart and then open realtek sound manager from taskbar,go to mixer, hit the arrow to go to the next page and maximize the internal subwoofer control.

    You are done!Spread the word!

This is working probably because there is xp support on 6530 model so they made drivers which get the tuba work.
