I'm probably going to switch to W7 on the 5920G. I've read about the process, I'll probably get the upgrade and use it for a clean install. I'm ok with how to do this.
What I'm wondering is:
Should I keep the 1st (Acer's Vista recovery) intact? Will W7 even let me, in fact?
Also, the XP partition (very last, about 3GB) is only to get Arcade Deluxe to boot right? I don't use this function at all since I have GRUB2 as my MBR (I have Ubuntu on the PC as well). Will I be able to safely get rid of it? I can always software to read DVDs from W7 anyway.
The goal is to have a system with as little clutter as possible: get rid of the XP partition if possible, only keep the Recovery partition as emergency or to get the PC back to stock.
I also will be investing in a larger HDD, 250GB instead of 160GB. So I'll probably do a clean install of Vista within the next days, then get W7 and the new HDD when I can, do a HDD transfer and only when this is all in place install W7.

You will have problems running win7 on the 5920g. I tried it a couple of times and only got errors. There are still some driver issues.
