    Hey all

Just a quick question, im now thinking of taking my notebook in for repair if warranty covers it. The things i have in mind is the GPU buzzing i consistently get and the backlight leakage. With the backlight on the notebook will they repace the screen or is it just readjustment? i hope they do cos i have a dead pixel, i know its only one but its still frustrating to see.

Also do u guys think it can be done whilst i wait if i take it to the service centre? and i trust that 'if' they replace the screen i wont need to back files up or let them have access into the notebook?

    thanx in advance

Allways back-up your files, especially since they might, in fact, replace your whole laptop.
Now, with regard to the buzzint, this is NOT from the CPU, but rather from the cooling 'unit' of the CPU. Look on the bottom of your laptop and see if there is anything clogging up the 'intake' for the CPU cooler.

Regarding the backlight, I really don't know what to say. It will depend on the service guys if they just repair the LCD or replace it.

    Good luck! :)

The Buzzing is actually a VGA Choke coil which is vibrating causing it to give off a high pitched Buzzing or Screaching noise.
The Backlight and Light leakage they will replace the screen for.
Again, backup all files because its standard procedure in the service industry to do a system restore to check and see if its software or hardware related issue.
