Hi, I m sorry for doublepost, but here I will probably success better.
---------------
The stuff I posted before is still not fixed, just getting worse. Thing is, that I must not so sure about the warranty.
I originaly bought my 5024 in Czech Republic in early July but since then I have been in UK. I thought about using the International Travellers Warranty (ITW) but I'm not so sure. If I understood their rules concerning ITW right, I must be some "bona fida traveller" )), to be able to use their service. That also means, that I could stay in the foreign country just up to 3 months, not any longer to be able to use this service....am I right??
The other thing is that I 'm also not so sure about the service itself. Mainly after reading this article: http://www.privatehealth.co.uk/index.asp?pgid=6320 .
Well, I know that the Acer had changed the warranty policy recently at all, I would suggest mainly in order to prevent such issues. As such when using ITW, they SHOULD repair your laptop within 2 to 5 days, and also pay any expenses concerning the way of the laptop from you to them and back or pick it up and return back themselves......but,...
When reading these things, I thought what about to call them, tell them that I bought this one, which needs to be fixed, in CR (of course show appropriate papers) and that I m in UK just as a traveller, who's normally living in CR...? Generally it's true, I m here just for studies, but I have been staying for a longer time than they require anyway, so....
To be honest, I don't know what to do to get my laptop fixed asap. If use normal warranty when I will be at home in CR for Christmas (where is not a guarantee that they will fix it to the date of my return back to UK which is the start of January) or to at least try to use the ITW in England, hopefully to get it sorted to few days possibly with no need even to GO or SEND somethin anywhere....or to use some other solution...
Anybody has got some experience with the warranty in Acer ...? ...especially in UK (Plymouth Centre) or Czech Republic? ITW or normal warranty....
P.S. I was really disappointed by that article above, mainly coy this is unfortunately the service center in England, where I would have to send it to, and the fact, that it's not so far from today doesn't affect me to use this centre's services much more.... ;(
(any comments will be appreciated)
Thank you for understanding, I m in a hurry.
