    Hi,
Please moderators don't be upset with me.I screwed up with the subject of my original post and needed to get the write topic out here for help. I am positive I will find help here. Allow me this mistake one time? :(

This is my 1st Windows vista and isn't the Clear thing (shadow around all icons & the writing when you go over them) part of Windows Vista? It's around every Icon in the taskbar /desktop,etc.. I can live with it as a shadow but I "cannot" see the same exact washed out look to read anything at all and that's what I have & why I wondered if the processor /graphic card "8000 series" would be a fix to this? Acer wont help and said return. 2 weeks I've had it and up to 17 hrs daily I search for one option to change this so I can read. If I cannot read and it's so washed out as if a display was burning out like a very old laptop I have, it's no good. I'm new to Vista and this crystal clear thing is a part of it isn't it?

** I did post this question in my post but wrong subject line on my part. I really feel this is a Vista thing. It has to be. So getting another one is going to cause me the same issues with any notebook unless their tech will help. Acer wont help.

You must at least on this board for an Acer have shadows around your icons. They don't bother me. It's trying to read. It's washed out.
There has to be so many of you that know what I'm speaking of.

Please help and I will be so grateful and happy finally. 2 weeks every day 15-17 hrs searching and playing with the display following every little thing I can find which is nothing. Is it the native resolution and on DPI 96. YES!! I cannot find any other options to try but haven't stopped looking up until I posted tonight.

There's a wealth of information here and people. I know someone can help me. :D I also must say almost all of you have to have this if it's my model at the very least. I will add I saw one other one and it was exactly the same issue but different model number.

    Pease someone help me?
