    Weird Alt characters on Acer 8930G

    I have no idea how this happened, but typing Shift+2 gives me " instead of @

    In fact, all other keys gives the Alt characters, the only way to get @ is to press Alt Car + 2 to get the @ sign.

    How do I disable this???

    Or you accidentally switched the language on your keyboard - I did once, and it confused the heck out of me. Time to go to the Regional & Language options, switch back to English (US), then remove the French (Canadian) option from your keyboard's settings (and the hotkeys to switch languages while you're at it).
