So I saw a acer 6920 for $999 at my local costco (in canada)
weird thing is it's specs don't appear to match any of the three models listed on acer canada's site...

it has a 9500M graphics card, so its not a 6920-6731 model, which has an integrated x3100

it doesn't have a blu-ray player so its not the 6920-6428

but it has 3GB RAM so it's not the 6920-6610 model which has 4GB of RAM

Does anybody know what model this one might be? I'm curious because I would like to know its full specs. I am especially interested in whether it has a 6-cell or 8-cell battery.

    Thanks

The same model is sold on NCIX for a lot less. Apparently it has a 6 cell battery.

yeah i don't think thats the same one

that only has 250GB and integrated graphics

vs 320GB and nvidia 9500M from the costco model

That's weird I think costco might have made a mistake. The costco model doesn't seem to exist or it coult be a costco-only 6920.

Yeah but it does look like the one from costco. Maybe acer's website just isn't up-to-date. This would explain why some models are missing.

I think the upgrade is worth it, the 8-cell battery has awesome battery life and blu-ray, well let's just say it's a $500 option on some Dell's...

Your better off callling or emailing Costco for full specs.

It is most likely an exclusive to Costco.

Meaning that the laptop was built to the specs that Costco wanted specifically.....but will still be part of the 6920 models/series.

Like certain advertised laptops at Futureshop or Best Buy they will state that it is an exclusive to their store.
