    Hi everyone.
I've got a new Acer Travelmate 2353LCi just a few weeks ago and am think having a problem with it. I am not sure of whether I need to call my regional support center or any helpdesk. Maybe some of you had the same issue and you solved it, that would be great to know...
My main problem is this: after I plug my laptop in a very strange noise starts to coming out of it. The noise is of very high frequencies and can bleed one's ears easily especially if one works in a quiet room. Because of this noise I cannot work with a computer for a long time. The source of a strange noise, I suppose, is the place where I connect the AC wire in. This noise comes out regardless of either the laptop is turned on or turned off. However, when I work from a battery there is no noise at all. In the beginning I thought that this was "a new computer noise" and it will go away after a several days. But now I am having this noise for about a month and it doesn't seem to go away. Many of my friends have Acer laptops also, so I checked their computers for the presence of the same noise. I checked some TravelMates and Aspires. Those computers were completely quiet, thus I thought that there was a defect with mine. I even have to unplug the laptop after every time I use it, otherwise the strange noise fills my room (since I sleep in the same room my laptop is I have to disconnect it every time because it won't let you sleep).
Does anyone know what a heck is going on with my comp?
    I would appreciate any thoughts.

If the problem is occuring when the unit is on or off, then it's an issue with the AC Adapter and not the unit. You may want to see if any of your friends have a similar/compatible adapter you can try and see if it makes the same noise. If yes, they possibly there could be something in your notebook causing the problem, but if not, then it's the adapter. That would be an easy fix. If it's the system, I'd recommend sending it in for service.

Hmmm, that might be a good idea. I will try it with another adapter. Thanks for reply Venombite.
