Went to the ATI site to download the latest drivers (7.11), clicked on Mobility Radeon x1300, and got a page saying I need to get the drivers from the manufacturer. Don't see any on Acer's site. So, where do I get drivers, just download ATI's desktop x1300 drivers? I tried their previous drivers and lost CCC then reverted back to the drivers that come on the laptop (Aspire 5100-5535).

You don't need the manufacturer's. The catalyst ones will work fine, but you can also get the omega drivers (based on the catalysts) from http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php

    Those are more gaming optimized.

Well, I downloaded the ones from the ATI site, and installed, but ended up with the same ones I started with?? That is, CCC is giving me the same version number I had before I installed the new drivers.
